    HOW TO AVOID DEHYDERATION

    WHAT SHOULD I AVOID CONSUMING IF I AM DEHYDRATED?

    If you have been dehydrated then it is important to know how you can rehydrate your body and its more important to know what all precaution you need to take. Dehydration takes place when your body loses more fluid than you drink. The most common cause is sweating, but there are food items that can enhance the problem and thus need to be avoided.

    Everyone knows that to rehydrate your body you need to drink plenty of water and eat fruits like oranges,watermelon,grapes, etc., but you also need to know more. Here are some food items that you must avoid if you have been dehydrated as when consumed in excess they can lead to chronic dehydration.

    ASPARAGUS: The diuretic effect of asparagus and its dehydrating property is well known. Normally its consumption does not affect your body, but in excess.YES. Other vegetables that have diuretic properties are parsley, celery and artichokes.
    COFFEE: Coffee is a diuretic drink. Coffee and caffeinated tea speeds up dehydration. It’s not that you should avoid it altogether, but excess of it is harmful.
    HIGH PROTEIN: If you prefer high protein diets(eggs ,meat ,etc) then you must increase your fluid intake as well.
    ALCOHOL: Alcohol makes you urinate more often as it is a diuretic drink and leaves you dehydrated.
    SOY SAUCE: Using soy sauce in excess is harmful.Not only soy sauce but other salty food items also increases the fluid loss.
    *POPCORN: Popcorn with soda can leave you very much thirsty as it contains sodium.
    Besides these food items to avoid fried foods and sugary drinks too.STAY HEALTHY.
